The Durham Home Inc. Scholarship Fund was established in 2022 by the Durham Home Inc. board of directors to honor Shirley O'Neall's service to the organization for over 50 years. It was their wish to support Montgomery County women pursuing education to better themselves.

About the Edith V. Botts Non-Traditional Nurses Training Scholarship

Scholarships will be awarded to female students pursuing a degree in nursing. If additional funds are available, students studying a closely related field may be considered. Scholarships are awarded for one year and must be applied for each year, not to exceed four awards.  Scholarships may be used for tuition only.  

To be considered for the Edith V. Botts Non-Traditional Scholarship, you must be a resident of Montgomery County, Indiana.  

If you are currently a high school senior set to graduate in 2024, please apply for the Botts Nursing Scholarship using the 2024 MCCF Standard Scholarship Application.

The Louis and Norma Swenke Scholarship is awarded to Montgomery County students pursuing a degree in criminal justice or a related field. Applicants must have graduated in good standing from a Montgomery County high school and be entering their sophomore year at an accredited college or university.

The Max W. Johnson Scholarship was established by Max Johnson as an educational scholarship to students in the Purdue University College of Agriculture, who reside in Montgomery County, Indiana. The scholarship is awarded in recognition of outstanding achievements in soil and water conservation practices, projects or studies.

The Myron and Patsy Pattison Scholarship is for Montgomery County high school graduates currently in their freshman year at a college or university in the State of Indiana. Selection is based on academic excellence, leadership qualities on and off campus, and likelihood of post-graduate studies.

The Wayne Rush Scholarship is awarded to graduates of North Montgomery High School who are currently enrolled at Purdue University and studying within the School of Agriculture on a full-time basis, or enrolled in the Pathway to Purdue Agriculture Program. Preference is given to applicants who are/were involved in 4-H.
